One of the most beautiful and mysterious of all natural phenomena, auroras are a longstanding -FUPPETS- favorite. The above time-lapse video captures some of the recent auroras over Norway. The Sun is back in full after a dormant period of three years, and this is causing some beautiful auroras. The light itself is created when high energy particles streaming from the Sun are bent and captured by the Earth's magnetic field, whic concentrates the high-energy particles at the magnetic north and south poles of our planet.
